After the party, there's the after party! Never skip the after party โ€” that's your chance for clean-up, cuddles, and communication โ€” and it's an important part of any intimate experience.

๐Ÿงผ Product Hygiene & Cleaning

Keeping your products clean isn't just good practice for the safety and longevity of your toys โ€” it's how you protect yourself and your partner(s) every single time.

  • Clean before AND after use. Even brand-new products benefit from a wash before their debut.
  • Use the right cleaner. A dedicated toy cleaner and warm water works for most materials. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or alcohol-based cleaners on silicone, rubber, or coated toys, or soap, which leaves a nearly invisible residue behind.
  • Non-motorized, body-safe silicone, glass, or stainless steel toys can be boiled, run through the dishwasher (top rack, no soap), or cleaned with toy cleaner and hot water for a deeper clean.
  • Motorized or electronic toys should never be submerged unless they're rated waterproof. Spray them with cleaner and rinse with warm water carefully around any seams or charging ports.
  • Porous materials (like rubber, jelly, or TPE) cannot be fully sanitized โ€” always use a condom with these and replace them regularly. Use toy-safe cleaner, rinse with warm water, and allow them to thoroughly air dry.
  • Let everything air dry completely before storing. Moisture is the enemy of longevity (and hygiene).

๐Ÿ“ฆ Storage Tips

How you store your products is just as important as how you clean them. A little organization goes a long way.

  • Store each toy separately โ€” silicone can react with other materials and degrade over time when stored together.
  • Use a dedicated pouch or case. Many of our products come with one, and we also carry storage bags designed for this purpose.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme heat โ€” both can warp materials and degrade motors or batteries.
  • Remove batteries from battery-operated toys when storing for extended periods to prevent corrosion.
  • Store lubes and creams upright, tightly sealed, and away from heat. Check expiration dates โ€” yes, they have them!
  • Lingerie and body accessories should be hand-washed or laundered per the care label and stored flat or hung to maintain their shape.

๐Ÿ› Body Care Afterward

Your body deserves the same attention as your products. A little post-play self-care goes a long way.

  • Use after care. Check out the Fantasy > After Care section of our site for products speciallyย designed to take care of your body in unique ways after different types of play.
  • Wash up. A gentle rinse or shower helps prevent irritation and keeps things balanced, especially if you used lubricants or massage products.
  • Check in with your body. Some mild sensitivity is normal, but persistent irritation, redness, or discomfort could signal a reaction to a product or material, torn tissue or other (even minor) injury, an STI, etc. When in doubt, reach out to a healthcare provider.
  • Hydrate. Seriously โ€” drink some water. Intimacy is physical activity!
  • Moisturize. If you used any warming, cooling, or flavored products, a gentle, unscented moisturizer can help soothe skin afterward.
  • Rest. There's no rush. Give yourself (and your partner) time to decompress.

The conversation after is just as important as the one before. Aftercare isn't just physical โ€” it's emotional, too.

  • Check in. A simple "How are you feeling?" or "Was there anything you loved or wanted more of?" opens the door to honest, caring conversation.
  • Share what felt good. Positive feedback isn't just nice to hear โ€” it helps build trust and makes future experiences even better.
  • Talk about what you'd change. This doesn't have to be a critique session. Frame it as curiosity: "Next time, I'd love to try..."
  • Respect different aftercare needs. Some people need closeness and cuddles; others need a little solo decompression time. Both are valid โ€” just communicate.
  • No pressure to debrief immediately. Sometimes the best conversation happens the next morning over coffee. Give it space.
